The first aim is to under go a portrait session on location, or at home in limited time.
Time allowed for this, I am working on 2 hours.
Approximate shots taken 20 images varied.
Separate session to examine the results choosing composition cropping and pose.
Finally processing the final image.
Preparation:
Flash, batteries charged , Camera lenses. Memory cards, Reflector and Diffusers. .
Back drop or location.?
Time : of the day, according to light, and subject, Approx. 5 PM warm lighting.
Time : Traveling, set up. Subject comfortability, and adjustment. Make up, clothing and hair, 20 min
Set up 10 min
5-10 Relaxing subject,
Shooting time 10 min max .
Rest processing : Down load, viewing, Selecting , Composition. Final selection. Balance and processing. Final print save to CD,
Subject to be photographed. Alishia the girl.
Site Location KK Museum Village.
Appointment re arranged , Due to over cast weather. later afternoon would have been to dark.
1PM . Flash was to be used. However; a compromise with the soft bright light and use of a reflector. Some crazy shots to help relax her. Some formal shots too. Close ups, head and shoulders. 3/4 and full length images. Although full length were a little un comfortable for her being short.
Results. Although 20 shots were to be taken With Digital, I found it more effortless, without the concern of film usage . Allowing more frames to be taken.
Easily edited out if need to be.
post processing:
RAW contact sheet . Produced from Aperture 3 using the print and convert to Jpeg PDF file, within Aperture. As shown here :
The session went smooth, but for time and heat.
Alishia next day, chose what she wanted by flagging the photos she likes . Those I am now going to edit. And process.
Tools used Aperture 3 for sharpening and spotting, Portrait Pro for the final result. And others will be processed in Aperture 3 or photoshop Cs3.
This is the edited chosen set . And processed contacts.
Chosen Best head and shoulder image.
