 taking away the colour using the tone clipping to its extreme , giving each photo from the average exposure . Colour and black and white. A low and high key.

the high key does not work so well in colour , as does it with black and white.
Although colour contrast is stronger and richer. The black and white gives a much more Artistic feel. The low light and lost shadow are not so noticeable. 

Exercises 15 Black and white,

People are very interesting in black and white . This picture taken at the night market of this person hastily securing the rain cover. The stress and struggle is more emphasised when the picture loses the distraction of colour , making the expression more prominent.
