Exercise 12 Managing tone.

Putting to the test different photographs that i have taken and up loaded to various photo stock agents. I found that some of my work that i had saved is in Tiff, by accident noting the size , not the type of file, most frustrating.  As once you need to up load these on J peg, they lose some quality and also MBs

Raw is most certainly the best file to use and save as Original. In saying this, Reading blogs and other information. there are those who save work in Tiff as archives .  I no not think this is such a good thing unless you  have the the edited version and J peg. Saved as well.

Sample Raw as I am unable to up load raw. I have taken once again. a screen shot of the raw image here. And below the edited g peg produced in aperture 3.

first step was to reduce the exposure , i executed this till the red are was completely gone. I did not that playing with colour tone and white balance reduced this also with out toning down the main image.

Then the mid tone adjustment.

More detail in the clouds and richer colour.

On the final picture here ; I use a little brightness and then sneaked in a little contrast , as after toning down , Mid done adjustment did not do much, The image still looks a little flat.
